FREE CONTRACEPTION – AGES 17–35
Free contraception is available to eligible patients aged 17–35 through the HSE Free Contraception Scheme, including contraception consultations, prescriptions, contraceptive implants and coils.
FREE HRT MEDICATION
HRT medication is available free of charge through the HSE scheme. GP consultation and blood test fees are separate.

Combined oral contraceptive pill (COCP)
Progestogen-only pill (POP)
Contraceptive implant (Implanon) – insertion, removal and replacement
Hormonal coils – Mirena, Kyleena, Jaydess insertion, removal and replacement
Copper coil – insertion, removal and replacement
Planning a coil or implant? A consultation is required before a coil or contraceptive implant fitting. This allows us to discuss your options, check that your chosen method is suitable and arrange the fitting appointment.
Free contraception for ages 17–35
If you are aged 17–35 and living in Ireland, you may be eligible for free contraception through the HSE Free Contraception Scheme. Please have your PPS number available when booking. No medical card is required.
Menopause & HRT
Dr Aoife has a particular interest in women’s health and has been supporting women through perimenopause & menopause for years.
At Trinity Clinic, we take a comprehensive approach to menopause care, with time to understand your symptoms, medical history and individual needs.
Perimenopause and menopause can affect women in many different ways. Our assessment process is designed to build a clear picture of your health before your dedicated menopause consultation.
Your Menopause Assessment
Before your consultation, you will receive a comprehensive menopause questionnaire to complete.
Your assessment includes:

BMI check
A separate menopause consultation is then arranged with Dr Aoife to review your symptoms, medical history and results, and discuss the treatment options that may be appropriate for you.
HRT & Treatment
Where appropriate, treatment may include Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Different types of HRT are available, and your treatment can be tailored according to your symptoms, medical history and preferences.
Follow-up appointments can be arranged to review how you are getting on and make adjustments where needed.
Free HRT Medication
HRT medicines are available free of charge through the HSE scheme. Menopause consultations and blood tests at Trinity Clinic are charged separately.
Postnatal & Breastfeeding
The postnatal period can bring new health concerns for mothers, particularly while breastfeeding. We provide GP assessment and medical support for breastfeeding and postnatal concerns.

Nipple infection or damage
Medication queries while breastfeeding
Postnatal contraception
General maternal health and wellbeing
Where specialist breastfeeding or lactation support is needed, we can advise on appropriate referral.
